So I just finished with my letters to Lucille, and now I have to make a short report about the assignment. This short report will be about what I have learned about this assignment. I will awnsers 6 questions that I made, and tell you a bit more abbout the grammar rule we learned
In my letters to Lucille, she sometimes reminded me that I use the wrong word order. How can I correct mistakes like the wrong wordorder? When I write for my blog, I don’t usually think about the right word order. I just type want comes to my mind. I should read my text again and check for the right word order. Or when I start writing I should think about making a sentence with a noun in it, I tend to forget that.
Something I forget all the time are capital letters, Lucille reminded me in every letter she wrote that I needed to use capital letters. So what can I do to not forget capital letters anymore? I think that I need to think more about how I write, like I said before, I tend to check my text on the use of capital letters or word order. I only spell check my text before I publish it.
I am dyslectic, so I make some mistakes with the spelling of words. How can I spell correct even though I am dyslexic? I don’t always notice it when I make a mistake. But when I read the text again I often notice the obvious mistakes that I made. But I need to spell check the less obvious mistakes, or I could let someone check it for me.
My texts are pretty bland; honestly I think it is pretty boring to read. So, my question is: how can I make my text more intresting ? Lucille told me I should use more pictures, it would a lot nicer. When I write a text usually I am just stating facts, maybe I could put in something funny or something.
My English is good, but talking in English is still pretty hard. My next question is how can I improve my English skills? I could talk English more; start a conversation with someone in English. Another way to improve my English skills would be to watch more movies without subtitles.
My last question is how can I make these tasks more fun for me? I should probably not start a week before the deadline because that only causes stress
I was a bit sceptic at first, but this assignment helped me recognize the mistakes I was making. I know start every sentence with a capital letter, and I check my assignment for the right word order. With this assignment we learned about a grammar rule that was new to us. We learned about the passive voice. Passive voice is used when the focus is on the action. It is not important or not known; however, who or what is performing the action.
